Dear Christopher,
Hello, I’m Betsy Myers, the Chief Operating Officer of Obama for America and Co-Chair of Women for Obama.
Women voters are going to make the difference in this election. Over the past ten years, women have made up more than half of all voters, and in the last Democratic primary they constituted an incredible 59% of the vote.
We need to start organizing as soon as possible. Every effort makes a difference and we can all help in our own way.
For me, that meant picking up my family and moving to campaign headquarters in Chicago because I wanted to be a part of Barack Obama’s effort to unite this country and ensure that women are an equal part of this movement.
You can lead this charge in your community by hosting a Women for Obama House Party. Join Michelle Obama and our campaign manager, David Plouffe, for a conference call about the issues that are important to women and the role women will play in our movement for change.

Women for Obama House PartySunday, June 24thConference Call: 6:00 pm EDT(call number and passcode will be distributed to event hosts)
Families all over this country are struggling with inadequate health care, education, housing, and childcare. And more often than not, it’s women who hold things together when what we have doesn’t match up to what we need.
Barack Obama understands the challenges that face women and families. He has an extraordinary ability to speak to those hungry for a new kind of politics, and a singular focus on a brighter future for us and for our children.
All over the country, women recognize his authenticity and his commitment to family as they volunteer their time and their effort to his campaign for change.
Invite the women you know to join you for a Women for Obama House Party:

Thank you being a part of our campaign,
Betsy Myers
Style Weekly: "the politics of fear and a growing racial divide still cripple Richmond [Virginia]." Mayor Douglas Wilder: "a cesspool of corruption and inefficiency." Ninth most dangerous city in the US. The state claims that "Virginia is for lovers" but the General Assembly passed a law "which some contend is the most anti-gay legislation in the country." (Style Weekly) And don't get me started on Henhicko County, Native American for "land of the hicks." Now at www.richmondsucks.com.

- "...the quintessential everyman, he's a little bit of everything that we're all striving for... mostly the search for the truth in our lives. From poignant notions of love to our own inescapable lascivious tendencies, from mundane to the outlandish, on that journey we face tough questions, but even tougher decisions. He'll take you on his journey and back, he won't promise you enlightenment (who can?), but you can at least be assured of a good time. Thanks..." - boyzco
