Style Weekly: "the politics of fear and a growing racial divide still cripple Richmond [Virginia]." Mayor Douglas Wilder: "a cesspool of corruption and inefficiency." Ninth most dangerous city in the US. The state claims that "Virginia is for lovers" but the General Assembly passed a law "which some contend is the most anti-gay legislation in the country." (Style Weekly) And don't get me started on Henhicko County, Native American for "land of the hicks." Now at www.richmondsucks.com.

Sneak peek of what's next - John Edwards One Corps

Dear John Edwards One Corps Member,

First, we just wanted to thank you again for making our national "Support the Troops, End the War" effort in May so successful. Thousands of people took part in nearly 600 events all across the country on Memorial Day Weekend and helped spread the important message that the best way to support the troops is to end this war in Iraq and bring them home to a hero's welcome. Our message is being heard and our voice is making a difference. Now, we have to keep growing this campaign to change America.

Because you're a John Edwards One Corps leader, we want to give you a sneak peek of what's next: This month, we're organizing an ambitious national round of house parties on Thursday, June 28. It's a big opportunity to reach out to thousands of new supporters, spread our message of transformational change, and raise the resources that we need to stay competitive. Early next week, we'll be launching this initiative to all of our supporters with details, materials, and a new event creation tool. But we wanted John Edwards One Corps members to be the first to know. Think of this as your "Save the Date" email, and stay tuned next week for the launch email with everything you need to begin. Thanks for taking action,

-George SternNational One Corps Director

About Me

My photo
"...the quintessential everyman, he's a little bit of everything that we're all striving for... mostly the search for the truth in our lives. From poignant notions of love to our own inescapable lascivious tendencies, from mundane to the outlandish, on that journey we face tough questions, but even tougher decisions. He'll take you on his journey and back, he won't promise you enlightenment (who can?), but you can at least be assured of a good time. Thanks..." - boyzco
