I thought about bringing a trampoline to this photoshoot but getting it to the beach was a problem because I couldn't fit it in my car. Luckily she was able to jump high enough, afterall she is the undefeated West Coast Champion for four years. The thin clouds provided a little softness to the lighting on her face and and it gave some nice highlights to her arm that I like. I told her to wear a tank top instead of a longsleeve uniform to add to the sexiness of it but it also helped to show definition in her athletic body. Her mom is not pictured but she is to the right holding a big white reflector to fill in some shadows. We did about eight takes of this until I was confident enough that I got a good shot.
Turning a picture black and white from a digital color image is a different job all together. Look at the difference in tones between my last five images in my stream. I'm not sure what I like best.
